We Believe We All Have a Responsibility to Do Our Part
At Onyx, we strive to do our part when it comes to having a sustainable practice set in place. While we are all still learning, and doing the best we can, we do set a goal for ourselves when the planet is concerned. This industry is loaded with consumer goods that often consume more than they do good. So starting with a healthy mindset to go against the grain, is part of our intention. From plastics to coatings to international shipping, we try to balance all of what’s expected in the industry, with more sustainable options…to try to raise the bar.
How does this look?
As a goal, we try to curate and educate our clients and customers on eco products and sustainable choices whenever possible. We have fulfillment centers and warehouses throughout the US, just so we can minimize eco impact, time and cost. We have partnered with over 150 new and exciting new products/brands that we now offer…many have eco or sustainable stories, give percentage of profits to a cause, or are made with natural or organic or recycled/sustainable materials. Some are farm-to-table or local, helping source products closer to our clients. And many are just clean innovative products, not loaded with plastics or fillers.
We curate beautiful objects that people can go the mile with…items that remain in their home or office or closet for years on end. We know that sometimes keeping that stainless steel object for 10 years, might be the best way to practice sustainability, rather than single-use options. And that’s why we focus on curating highend products…because more often than not, quality & durability = a more sustainable choice. We try to print with minimal inks when possible, or print digitally or with eco inks. And we use other lower impact processes, like foil imprinting, on our SHOP-ONYX curated boxes.
Starting in 2023, www.SHOP-ONYX.com, our curated corporate gifting site, will be planting a tree for every box sent, through ONE TREE PLANTED.

These are just some of the ways that we make choices daily for the planet. We know that having a sustainable mindset, while simultaneously trying to juggle a lot of clients varying needs, can be challenging…But we also believe that by each of us doing some good whenever we can, and wherever we can, that those small decisions and changes add up.
